GIS Consulting Lead Full Time

Winyama is seeking suitably qualified candidates for a new role as GIS Consulting Lead reporting to the general manager to lead an emerging and dynamic delivery team. Responsibilities include:

• Delivery of spatial consulting services to Winyama clients
• Oversight of projects
• Team management
• Support to Sales Team in proposal generation

Successful applicants will have:

• 5+ years of experience in a GIS consulting role or similar
• Knowledge and experience in project management and client services
• Proven ability to lead, manage and coach emerging / junior staff
• Demonstrated knowledge and proficiency of contemporary industry spatial solutions, technologies and applications (e.g. Esri, FME, QGIS, …)
• An applied knowledge and commitment towards a culturally sensitive and culturally safe working environment.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher in geomatics, project management, information technology or a related field is desirable. Those without a bachelor’s degree with relevant GIS industry or work experience are encouraged to apply.
